STOP PRESS:

The Club begins the push for national honours TODAY at 6pm with a Ladies Top Club match v Bishops Cleeve. This and other forthcoming National fixtures can be found below. Come along and support your club in these matches.

Coaching. Every Thursday 1-30 to 4-30pm. It is planned to extend coaching to include Tuesday afternoon and Friday evening. Open to any bowlers requiring help not just new bowlers.

Good luck to Nathan Kitchen who is playing in the Division 1 Snooker KO final at Albion House on Wednesday at 7pm. Well done Nathan who won match 3-2 decided on final black ball.

BOWLING MATTERS:

The club welcomes Tayla Pendre as a new bar assistant. Tayla will be doing a bar familiarisation shift with Harry on Wednesday. Please say hello.

Marking awareness course at Mid-Glos IBC. The Course will be at the weekend in late May; 9.00am to 4.30pm cost £15 and food may be available. Club will help with cost if course completed. If interested contact Sandy Kerr on 07967 586356 or  [email protected]

Thanks to the 6 bowlers who offered to help at our Open Day on Sunday 5 May. A bit disappointing given we have c150 registered full members! However, FB users did better with 22 ‘shares’. We could do with some under 40 helpers who can demonstrate to visitors that bowls doesn’t begin at 60!

Zapkam Ltd based in Gloucester has become our main supplier for club blue shirts and jackets. Hitherto, they only supplied our white shirts. The first order was placed on Monday and should be delivered in 4-5 weeks. To follow, a range of club clothing to include blue trousers, shorts, gilets and caps will fill our club shop window for members to peruse and buy on-line. Click https://www.zapkam.com/p/club-shops/bowls/cheltenham-bc/  to look in our current club shop window

Please note that President’s Day starts at 2pm not 11-30pm as shown on the fixture card. See Pres Day Poster 24 for details and add your name to the list on the notice board.

Have you entered Club Competitions? It’s a good way to meet other bowlers and improve your game. An entry form can be found at Club Competition Entry Form 2024 revised  Closing date for entry is Saturday 11 May.
