Cheltenham failed to retain the County Challenge Cup at Barnwood yesterday losing the final to Olveston BC by 9 shots. Congratulations Olveston BC.
Cheltenham Ladies and Men play in the semi–finals of the County Double Rink at Suffolk Square this morning. Start 10am. The final will be played at the same venue in the afternoon.
Club Finals Day is on Saturday 19 September. Playing schedule to follow. One final has already taken place last week. In the Under 30 Singles competition Louie Hodges beat Jack Williams on a tie-break. Two more finals will be played this week. On Monday evening the 2 Bowl Triples & on Friday evening the Ric Nightingale.
The Champions Dinner 2026 is on Saturday 24th October at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Coventry. Tickets will be available W/C 31st August with priority given to National Bowls Finals winners and finalists and then on general sale, subject to availability.
Owing to the above the Club Presentation Night has been moved to Saturday 31 October.
Men’s Glos County League 2026 – final standings:
Division 1. Cheltenham A & B finished 1st & 2nd respectively bringing substantial prize money to club funds.
Cheltenham C team finished 2nd in Division 3 gaining promotion to Div 2 adding a bit more to the club coffers.
Cheltenham D finished mid-table in Division 4.
Afternoon Triple League 2026. The ATL runners up were Pick ‘n Mix not The Students as originally stated.
