BOWLING MATTERS:

One of the club’s goals this year is to increase junior membership which has stagnated at c6 for the past 20 years. We are looking to build on the limited experience gained last year but start much earlier in the season (now is almost too late). If you feel you might have something to offer this initiative by way of access to a school, youth club or experience working with youngsters please contact Allen. Our small team currently consists of Josh Hodges, James Speller, Peter Babbage plus Allen. We could do with a couple more names.

Bowls England have secured funding from Sport England for the next four years to help develop and roll out our new Performance Pathway and Talent plan.

The plan aims to increase opportunities for younger people to play the game, enjoy its benefits and to fulfil their potential.

As a part of this initiative the club will be hosting a Regional Bowls England Talent Day on Sunday 10th May.

Ladies Gloucester League – There will be a pre-season practice session for the A and B teams on Wednesday 22nd April at 6pm

OTHER MATTERS:

The club is looking for any members who have worked with Xero (a small business accounting system) or would like training on inputting club receipts to cover for Gill Dorman whilst she is on holidays. Replies to Peter Babbage please.
