The 2026/27 season got off to a great start at yesterday’s Opening of the Green which was enjoyed by c70 bowlers.

The spider raised £61 for the Captain’s Charity Focus and Glen Curtis won £70 on the football card and donated some of his winnings to the Captain’s Charity; thank you Glen.
Our thanks also to Kevin for the post match food and our Captains for organising the weather and a splendid day.
The winning 100 Club number was Number 8, with Lynda Griffiths winning the single prize of £100.
The next regular monthly draw is on 1st May 2026 with the new Draw Year commencing on 1st July 2026. You’ve got to be in it to win it. Details to follow.

Ladies are reminded to go on to BowlR and give your availability for the first LGL match; more nominations are required and selection will take place tomorrow!
Friday 24th April. Come along to the first Club Night and take part in an Umbrella! Don’t know what that is? Then turn up and find out! There’s a list up in the club by the double doors – put your name on it and turn up at 5.45pm for a 6.00 start. £1 entry – winning rink gets some and the rest to Captain’s charity. List will close Thursday night!
