We are organising a Youth Recruitment Day on 27 June. The attached video provides much of the detail and will do much of the recruiting but there is an important role for members to play. Can you please spread the word by sharing this video (or getting the grandchildren to share it!) Alternatively, spread the word via family and friends; we don’t want to miss any children/grandchildren who might benefit from this fun day. Follow up days are being planned with incentives to members who excel! More anon
New bowlers please note that there will be no formal coaching this Tuesday 12th May. There is a Middle England League (MEL) match being played at the club on that day between Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire ladies. The Ladies Captain and Vice Captain will both be representing Gloucestershire so why not come along and watch. A reminder that the snooker room will be closed to accommodate this game.
Normal coaching will take place on 19 May at 2.00pm.
The first Ladies Glos League took place this week with the A team playing away at Coleford. We managed to pick up 2 points having won on one rink but lost out on the other. The B team got off to a great start against Tewkesbury B winning on both rinks and getting 8 points – well done ladies!
Ladies who are selected as reserves for the league games must attend the game unless the Captain has already informed them that they can stand down. This is to ensure we have someone who can step in at the last minute or during the game. Failure to do so could result in the team forfeiting the game.
